Frank V. Finch

Financial Advisor

Frank joined Halliday Financial in 2012 as a Financial Advisor and remains the Principal of Life Stages Financial Group, which focuses on financial literacy education and helping clients achieve their financial goals. Through Halliday Financial, Frank offers a full suite of investment and insurance solutions for individuals and businesses. He specializes in wealth accumulation, retirement income, social security benefit planning, and multi-generational estate conservation, with a particular expertise in advanced applications of life, disability, and long-term care insurance for business owners and individuals.


Known for his unwavering support for integrity and professionalism through market corrections and recessions, Frank tailors solutions to clients’ unique situations. His process involves active listening and critical questioning to develop personalized financial plans that maximize income, cash flow, wealth accumulation, asset protection, and legacy planning. Once goals are established, Frank customizes recommendations, with planning results tracked and reviewed regularly to ensure clients are confident in their financial decisions.

 

Background and education:  

Frank holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in history and political science from SUNY Binghamton, a master’s degree in education from SUNY Plattsburgh, and has completed additional graduate work towards a PhD at the University of Illinois. 

 

Frank has been named Who’s Who Among Americas Teachers, and in 2023 he was honored to be selected from 11 finalists as New York State Teacher of the Year by the New York Association of Continuing and Community Education. He has taught economics, history, and political science at high school and college levels. In the 1990s, he toured Asia and the Mediterranean several times as Director of an Education Consulting Firm. 

He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, and a New York State Life, Accident, and Health Insurance license.

 

Additional information:

Frank believes strongly in life-long learning and continual personal and professional growth. To stay equipped to address issues that impact his clients, Frank continually takes classes and seeks knowledge in subjects in and outside of the area of financial services; on a frequent basis, he is sought out to teach adult education classes in many area schools.

 

Frank is an avid fitness proponent and enjoys Latin dancing, skiing, speed chess, hiking, traveling, and exploring other cultures, 1960s hot rod cars, and playing handball and racquetball.

 

Frank has been active in his service to the local community in many ways, including serving as:

 

-Trustee of the Oriental Shrine, and Member of Shriner’s International to Support Shriner’s Hospitals for Children

-Regional Sports Director of basketball and track for the Special Olympics

-Mentor for the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants

-Area Governor of Toastmasters International

-Member of Capital Advanced Toastmasters

-President of Saratoga Turf Talkers

-Board Member of Best Buddies Charity for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

-High School Teacher

 

In addition, Frank is a supporter of several charities to benefit homeless people and animal welfare.
