Howard joined Halliday Financial in 2007 and currently serves as a Certified Financial Planner ® and Regional Vice President. Additionally, Howard has trained advisors who are new to the industry or to the company and at times served as a Registered Principal.
Howard is dedicated to serving his clients through a relationship based on mutual trust, integrity and purpose. Your goals and aspirations are an integral part of the financial planning process, developing a plan that is best suited for your needs. He never loses sight of the defining characteristic of the relationship between himself and his clients: attentive service and personal counsel.
Although he has worked with many individuals and families, Howard also manages several employer-sponsored plans. Retirement and education planning are two of Howard’s areas of focus. He also manages investment portfolios while finding ways to protect one’s wealth.
In 2012, Howard received Halliday Financials’ Founders Award, recognizing him for his commitment and dedication to the firm.
Background and education:
Howard holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree from Rutgers University. He holds his Series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses, as well his New York State Life, Accident, and Health Insurance license. Howard holds the CFP ® designation, a highly regarded accomplishment within the Financial Services industry. Howard also recently received his certification as Certified Financial Transitionist, assisting clients who are experiencing a change in their current phase of life and need guidance through this transition.
After beginning his now 25 plus year career in financial services as Financial Advisor at Waddell & Reed, Howard then spent many years with First Niagara Bank and its predecessor banks. Prior to entering the Financial Services industry, Howard began his work as a Certified Social Worker, providing counseling services to individuals and families.
Additional information:
Howard is currently a board member for Sidney Albert Jewish Community Center in Albany, NY, serving as assistant treasurer. In addition, he is President of the Financial Planning Association of Northeastern NY, as a participant of both the Advocacy and Pro Bono committees. Howard is also the past President of the Cornell Club of the Greater Capital District.
Howard was also invited to be a part of the Leadership Tech Valley Class of 2014 and completed three years as a member of its steering committee, enabling him to participate with the next class of area leaders.
Howard lives in East Greenbush with his wife Christine. His daughter Olivia is an Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach at Sacred Heart University. He enjoys running, traveling, photography, and is an avid music enthusiast.
