Joe Tedeschi is a Certified Financial Planner® with Halliday Financial, serving clients on Long Island with over two decades of experience in financial services. Joe’s story begins not in a boardroom, but at his family’s kitchen table. When his father, a hardworking Local 28 sheet metal worker, retired early due to health concerns, he received a lump-sum annuity check — the reward for a lifetime of hard work. Acting on the wrong advice, his family was blindsided by serious and unexpected tax consequences. Watching that unfold, Joe made a quiet promise to himself: no family he worked with would ever experience that kind of avoidable hardship.
That promise has guided every client relationship since. Joe joined Halliday Financial in 2012 and has been helping families protect, grow, and thoughtfully plan their financial futures ever since. He holds a BA in Finance from Pace University, and his credentials — CFP®, CRPC®, FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65, SEC registration, and state insurance licenses — reflect his commitment to staying at the top of his field for the people who rely on him.
Joe brings that same drive to everything he does. Before entering finance, he was an Academic All-American and captain of his collegiate football team, later playing professionally in Europe with the Bergamo Lions, where he won both the Italian Super Bowl and the Euro Bowl Championship in 2002.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures. You’ll often find him jogging on the boardwalk, on the golf course, or spending time with his family at the beach.
His Italian heritage, deep faith, and love of cooking shape the way Joe shows up — for his family, his clients, and his community. He is actively involved with the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Long Beach Pantry, and the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors, and proudly supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Children’s, Tunnel to Towers, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
